From Sophie Somerville comes her Melbourne set debut, Fwends, an intimate chamber piece centring on the relationship of Em and Jessie. Attempting to rekindle their ride or die relationship from their early twenties, the pair meet up for a weekend in Melbourne to spend some much needed quality time together. As the good energy dissipates, both women become more vulnerable and honest with each other about the true state of their lives and friendship. Debuting at Berlinale's Forum, Fwends masters its conversation heavy pacing and tone in an engaging way, comparable to classic titles such as My Dinner with Andre or What Happened Was.
